Patrick Talbot Punchy and fun, this one has a huge earworm quality. A very British quality to its delivery, with a blend of seduction and aggression that makes this one a hit!

about

'Fast and Furious' is a bit different when compared to my previous releases - this one is an out and out soppy love song! It didn't necessarily directly correlate with my life at the time but after all of the serious and ‘in your face’ songs I have written last year, it just seemed like a natural development. There’s only so much social commentary and angst you can take before you need a break!
I explored more metaphoric lyric concepts but ultimately, when you listen to the track you can see it's pretty basic! The lyrics to the chorus of 'Fast and Furious' came to me when I was sitting in a hammock on a couple of rare days of hols in France, and there was a motorbike parked in front of me with 'Fast and Furious' written on it, so naturally I wrote a song about it that had a nothing to do with the bike! I wrote this song in two parts, one of which was with an amazing London based artist called Russell Swallow. He was the main contributor to the final section of the song, the bit where it slows down and it is written to show the other side of the story. The classic and painfully imbalanced situation where one person is trying to push the relationship harder and faster, and the other person is just wanting to take it as it is, at a slower pace. But ultimately, the song is a bit of fun, soppy, and I simply love playing it live!

lyrics

Lyrics:
Swim with me
in the shark infested Waters of my
mind at night
I can tell that you love me
but you deny

oh honey
you feel it in your veins I feel it too
oh honey
I'd be Poseidon in the sky for you

So make the decision cause I can't make it for the two of us
oh make the decision make it fast and make it furious
So make the decision and I'll be by your side

Fly With Me
in the satellites inside your eyes
but don't look down
or you'll see the world for what it really is

Oh honey
I'd be low key inside the sea for you
oh honey
because you and me are like Greek mythology

So make the decision cause I can't make it for the two of us
oh make the decision make it fast and make it furious
So make the decision and I'll be by your side
oh make the decision and make it now

oh Slow down honey don't too fast
we need a little more time to make this last
I'm in love but I need more time x2

Oh honey
oh darling
why you do this to me? x2

oh Slow down honey don't too fast
we need a little more time to make this last
I'm in love but I need more time x2
